The role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced State Sales Manager to join our Foodservice Sales team, located in Victoria. Reporting to the General Manager - Out of Home, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales and growth within the Foodservice Distributor channel in Victoria and Tasmania.
Working towards monthly sales targets, you will work with your team to execute strategic distributor and state sales plans, ensuring these plans reflect the business needs. You will be responsible for maintaining the current state distributor accounts and securing additional business to achieve and exceed sales and market share targets. There will be weekly and monthly reporting required on state-based business, and a requirement to maintain state trading term metrics that fall within the national guardrails.
You will also manage our new ‘direct to consumer' Pakenham shop, where you will be responsible for delivering monthly shop targets, forecasting sales, and managing the retail staff.
The successful candidate will have solid experience in an account management role in the FMCG or Foodservice industry. You will have an understanding of consumer and trade marketing products and processes, with a demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets.
You will be passionate about sales, have excellent communication skills, and a strong customer focus. Your negotiation skills, drive for results and constructive leadership style will ensure your success in the role. You will be comfortable in an environment with ambiguity, frequent change & unpredictability. To hit the ground running in this exciting and challenging role, you will be a self-starter with the drive & commitment to achieve results.
The role will require occasional travel.
