The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Mentone. This is a full time, permanent role.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will provide financial and management reporting, as well as analysis, implementation and maintenance of strong controls to support the Group Accounting function of Patties Foods.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparation of management accounts, forecasting and reporting on a monthly basis
• Identify, develop and implement control improvements across the business
• Liaise with tax advisors to manage tax liabilities
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations monthly
• Other financial and management reporting as required
• Be the finance liaison to improve systems and reporting capability

This is a broad hands-on role and requires you to provide leadership on financial matters within the Group Finance team, as well as encourage a customer-centric culture within the Finance function. Experience and proven success in leadership in a similar Finance Manager role are essential.

Tertiary qualified in business, accountancy or related discipline as well as subsequent experience in finance-related fields, with CPA/CA experience or demonstration of study towards the qualification is a must. Candidates from a Big 4 background with FMCG industry experience are desirable. Strong commercial acumen and continuous improvement mindset and success in working in high performing teams are essential to succeed in this position.
