The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager - Night to join our team in Pakenham. The role is responsible for operations of the value stream for night shift. Under general direction from the Manufacturing Manager, you will manage manufacturing resources to ensure that short and long term objectives are achieved; primary responsibility to maintain efficient operations, inventory management and product cost management and related duties as required for the value stream shift you are assigned.

You will meet and strive to exceed KPI's as established for the operating lines including OEE, giveaway, absenteeism, Attainment to Plan and downtime. As well as develop and implement strategies to reduce waste.

This role will actively support and participate in continuous improvement plans and strategies through team based engagement and together with the Learning & Development Officer ensure employees complete all calendar compliance training and have On-the-Job training and skills development needs identified for SOP's / Work Instructions.

Solid experience in a similar role and level in a food manufacturing business and FMCG industry is essential. An understanding of quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment, as well as a strong understanding and ownership of safety is paramount. A relevant qualification in Management/Operations highly regarded
